It’s my birthday today (the 26th) so by way of celebration, I’ve put aside a number of otherwise pressing matters I really should be attending to so that I can compose something purely for the pleasure of it. It’s perhaps understandable that I feel in the mood to reflect and cast my eye over “what’s gone before”, but at the same time, I like to think that I can do something to uplift, encourage and possibly enlighten others in the process….we’ll see.

As you surely cannot fail to have noticed, Pete Glastonbury has chosen to remove all his photographs from this site, so I’m back to where I began – just the laptop, Stonehenge and the “windmills of my mind”.

I’m most grateful to Jasmine for sending me this link from English Heritage and the National Trust, offering anyone who’s interested a means by which they can comment and apparently contribute to the ongoing debate about the reburial issue. It’s something there are a lot of strong feelings about, so I’ll be taking time to write my own considered contribution, as it seems a shame to let this opportunity pass.

I set up this site with a number of aims in mind, perhaps the foremost being to provide original information on Stonehenge. There’s no shortage of material to present and no shortage of informed comments that are food for thought for us all, but things have got somewhat out of hand recently.
